Check out the Ace Pavillion and Livestock Barns and then, be a BIDDER for the Livestock Auction this Sunday 1pm.   Check in with the fairgrounds office or Alexandre Family Farms if you’re interested in partnering for 1/2 a steer, hog or sheep.   Bidders are welcome to the BBQ Sunday at 11am  and meet the kids from 4-H, FFA and the Grange.

It’s the LAST  weekend for Disney’s Lion King Jr at the Chetco Playhouse in Brookings.  The ALL youth cast will perform this Friday & Saturday Night 7:30 and the final Sunday matinee at 2pm.  Tickets available at the door!

Saturday & Sunday come to the Port of Brookings for ART ON THE COAST.  Fine art & crafters will line the boardwalk!  Music, Food, Brew and FUN all weekend at the Port of Brookings.

Catch the FIRST EVER  Wellness Wave this Saturday at Azalea Park  from 11-2.  It’s a family festival with a focus on health, wellness, food, & fun for families.  Meet and Greet local agencies and groups serving Curry County Families.  There’ll be music, games, prizes & healthy treats for kids!  Azalea Park in Brookings.

And, speaking of Azalea Park… This Sunday is the Madonna Tribute, Blonde Ambition at Azalea Park!  1pm Sunday…part of the Concerts in the Park series in Brookings.

Don’t forget the Farmer’s Market, Saturdays at the Crescent City Harbor, from 9-2 pick up fresh produce and great food commodities including Alexandre Family Farms Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Meat and Non Perishable Foods.  Check RHS online for the Commodities distribution calendar this summer.

Back to School Time!   Brookings Harbor New Student Registration will be Tuesday, August 16th 4pm to 8pm and Wednesday from 8am to 12pm at Kalmiopsis Elementary.  Check details on the District’s Website.  AND…..Del Norte School Registration is also on now at the District Office.   Reminder, Thursday  August 25th is a Teacher Meet & Greet and opening day of school is Monday, August 29th.
